I have been working in digital agencies and large corporate environments for over 10 years, both as
an employee and an entrepreneur.
In the enterprise sector, I worked as a Senior Developer at Hungary’s leading bank, contributing to
large-scale product development in a highly regulated environment. My background in graphic design
and visual design added significant value to my work, particularly in bridging development and user
experience.
At digital agencies, I was primarily involved in developing products that required unique solutions
and a special technical or creative approach, where my design experience also played a key role.
The demoscene (/ˈdɛmoʊˌsiːn/) is an international computer art subculture focused on
producing demos:
self-contained, sometimes extremely small, computer programs that produce audiovisual presentations.
The
purpose of a demo is to show off programming, visual art, and musical skills. Demos and other
demoscene
productions (graphics, music, videos, games) are shared, voted on and released online at festivals
known
as demoparties.
Several of my demos have also been featured in Mrdoob’s (the creator of Three.js) demo show : https://mrdoob.com/demoscene/
Not all demos run perfectly on Apple machines online — fixes are not planned.
Propaganda
My first demo of 2025 focused on a political theme. It explores propaganda and political power games, where virtually anything becomes acceptable in the pursuit of success. The demo won first place at the t0ad competition. The project was created using Three.js, Blender, glsl and Ableton.
A Week After the Ninth Moon
This demo explores conception and early human development, loosely blended with a space theme. It won first place at the Experience demoscene competition. The project was created using Three.js, Blender, glsl and Ableton.
The Lucky One
In 2024, I entered a competition with a new demo, which not only won first place but also received another Meteoriks nomination in the Best Direction category. The concept is based on a probability calculation — not meant to be scientifically accurate, but rather to convey the inherent improbability of life itself. The entire narrative is deeply personal and reflects my own story, which I elaborate on in the project’s README. The project was created using Three.js, GLSL, Blender, and Ableton.
Midnight Function
In 2023, at the final edition of the Function demoscene competition, I said goodbye with a “farewell” demo. Its distinctive feature was the use of motion capture technology, incorporating live dance recordings — including performances by myself and my wife. The demo reached fourth place. The project was created using Three.js, GLSL, Blender, live dance footage, and Ableton.
The Lost Signal
In 2023, I created my demo The Lost Signal. It tells an abstract sci-fi story in which the protagonist lands on a planet after detecting a mysterious “signal.” Visually, the original intention was to evoke the atmosphere of 1970s sci-fi films; however, the final result became an unusual blend of modern and retro-inspired visual elements. The project was created using Three.js, GLSL, Blender, and Ableton.
Balkans Christmas
Later in 2023, I took part in another competition and achieved second place. The demo reflects the Christmas atmosphere of my childhood and concludes with the people I love — my family. The music is one of my personal favorites among all the soundtracks I have created for my demos. The project was created using Three.js, GLSL, Blender, and Ableton.
Raw
In 2022, I achieved my first victory at the Function demoscene competition. This
came after the original winner respectfully offered their position, resulting in my demo being
awarded first place (I had originally finished second). The demo was an audiovisual piece
opposing the war in Ukraine. Its narrative portrays the final moments of a dying person, told
from an unusual and intimate perspective. The work also received a Meteoriks nomination, this
time for its audio and music. The project was created using Three.js, GLSL, Ableton, and
Blender.
Later on, the music was also featured on a compilation album and appeared on the Blu-ray
release of the Hungarian documentary series Vakondok 4.
The Visitor
In 2022, I also entered the QBParty event, where this demo achieved third place. The subject is one of my favourite films by my favourite director. Nothing extra, not trying to change the world, just made for fun (plus some rehearsal for later demos)
J4P
Finally, at this year’s Experience demoscene competition, I entered with a more humorous, lo-fi–styled demo and went on to take first place. The piece explores Pluto as a planet and reflects my personal take on its demotion.
1986
In 2021, during the COVID period, I entered the Function demoscene competition with another demo. The concept was inspired by the then-popular Chernobyl TV series. Although I was already familiar with the historical events, the series’ visual and narrative portrayal had a strong impact on me. The demo achieved third place, earning a podium finish. Later, it also received a Meteoriks “demo Oscar” nomination, which it went on to win in the Best Direction category. The project was created using Three.js, GLSL, Blender, and Ableton.
Der Trabant
Later in 2021, I also entered the Experience demoscene competition, held during the winter season. For this event, I created what is still my favorite demo to date — a fictional Trabant advertisement set in the 1980s. The project was developed using Three.js, GLSL, Blender, and Ableton.
Midnight Express
In 2020, I entered the Hungarian Function demoscene competition with this project. It reached fourth place, and was later nominated for — and ultimately won — the Meteoriks Award in the Best Direction of the Year category. The piece tells the story of an imaginary UFO abduction and was created using Nunu, Three.js, Blender, and Ableton.
Since childhood, game development has been a personal hobby of mine. I have participated in several competitions, achieving finalist and podium placements. While it is not the area I consider myself strongest in, I genuinely enjoy the creative and technical process of making games.
